Lyra Albertha John

Lyra George-John left the world on August 18th 2024 at the age of 84; joining her son Michael, also known as Roderick, in the afterlife. Lyra was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. 

Lyra was born on May 28th 1940 in Hermitage, St. Patrick to Blanche John and Ulric George. She resided in New York City in the United States. She leaves to mourn two children, including her daughter Hermione and her son Dennis, also known as Milo. 

Her grandchildren, Tricia, Travis, Adanna, Oni, Simba, Danielle, Mandisa and Hasani, as well as adopted grandchildren, Chrissy and Anthony. 

She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Brielle, Kalem, Lilliana, and Sydney.

Her sisters and brothers, Catherine, Monica, Lucille, Bernadette, Hazel, Athlene, Ann-Marie, Daniel, Albert, Fabian, and Cornon.

Her son-in-law Elton Harvey.

Many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends including Kheruda George, Elsie King, and Ann-Marie King. 

Also left to mourn are members of the John family, George family, Thomas family, Charles family and Richards family.
