It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Austin Phill, on the 1st February 2025.
Ronald was born in Kingston, Jamaica to Joseph Phill and Aldith Gilbert Phill.
Ronald is survived by his sister Daphne Elaine Phill Johnson of Brooklyn, NY. He was a cherished uncle to Denese Thomas of Houston, TX, Opal Thomas de Flores and son-in law Esau Flores, also of Houston, TX; and nephew Garfield Thomas of Royal Palm Beach, FL. Ronald was predeceased in death by sister Syble May Phill Thomas.
Ronald was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a kind, generous and reserved soul, with a laconic sense of humor.
Ronald had an unwavering passion for gadgets and electronics, immersing himself in the latest technology trends and innovations. He delighted in sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with friends and family. Whether it was the latest phone, TV, or stereo system, Ronald embraced the excitement of technology, inspiring everyone around him to better appreciate the wonders of the digital age.
In his later years, Ronald bravely faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease, eventully becoming a resident at Cobble Hill Healthcare. Despite these difficulties, his spirit remained resilient.
We cherished the precious moments of connection we had with Ronald, even as the disease progressed, holding on to the many fond memories that defined his life.
Funeral services for Ronald will be held at the 5020 Foster Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11203 on Tuesday, 18th February, at 9:30AM.
Interment follows at the Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
Ronald will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
