Having to plan a funeral while grieving for a loved one is a very difficult task. However, due to assistance from Mr. Sekou Johnson and S.A. Johnson Funeral Home, that weight was much easier to bear. S. A. Johnson Funeral Home made the process seamless. Mr. Johnson made himself available at all times for any questions or requests we had during the process. He was very accommodating and professional. Coming to our home, providing us with different burial options, connecting us with vendors for printing and floral arrangement, and helping us to get our loved one to his final resting of Grenada, so he can sleep in peace. Though there were a lot of family members helping with funeral arrangements, Mr. Johnson was patient and made sure each voice was heard. I am eternally grateful to Mr. Johnson and his staff for helping my family and I during our time of need.

Grieving the loss of a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences anyone can go through. Mr. Johnson was a calming, compassionate, thoughtful and accommodating presence in the chaos of the sudden death of my beloved brother-in-law Samuel.
A family friend recommended Mr. Johnson to us, and once we met with him, it felt like we were meeting another family friend we had known for years. He offered suggestions and gave us options on how to proceed each step of the way. Mr. Johnson is very detailed oriented and walked my sister and I through each step of the process. If there were any doubts or questions, he gave us access to call, email or text even after work hours.

SA Johnson Funeral Home and its directors were very compassionate about our loss. We shared with them what Sam meant to our family, what his life journey was, and how we would like to honor his legacy. The way they coordinated the service and the final burial, to make it a true reflection of Sam’s life was exemplary. The level of thoughtfulness that they brought to the planning process was truly appreciated. Mr. Johnson made arrangements with the church, the organist and the cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was also very knowledgeable about time constraints and advised us to include the reflections during the viewing period. This turned out to be a very wise decision because many mourners relished the opportunity to share their memories of Sam. The church service was beautiful and attended by many who were a part of Samuel’s life. Mr. Johnson was the first one to arrive at the church and assisted with passing out programs, signing the condolence book and even assisted with seating mourners. We are forever grateful for the services SA Johnson Funeral Home have provided to assist us during the difficult, but memorable moments.

went above and beyond for me and my family on two occasions.
The passing of my dearly beloved Merry Mitchell in November 2019 and also my brother in law Saurel Milord in 2021 . He came to our home and was very detailed with extraordinary competence and professionalism.
